Born in Seoul, James King is a versatile composer who is enough to cover from feminine melody to masculine grandeur, modern blend of tradition and world music by his own distinctive delicacy and meticulousness. He pursues perfect quality of work under the influence of various Newage artists such as Yuhki Kuramoto, Enya, Steve Barakatt and various Christian Pop/Rock artists such as Ron Kenoly, Tom Brooks, Avalon, Sonic Flood, Steven Curtis Chapman, etc. He has been given the dream of film music by the film ‘Titanic’ and fascinated the composer James Horner on his middle school days.

He had studied music by himself and had gained experience and skills through a variety of activities and performances such as Praise Team and composing, music directing in various musical, drama, and film work in Handong Global University majoring in International Studies and English. After graduation of the school, he completed the full course at Yonsei University school of Film Music to set a firm foundation as a professional musician, and received Master’s Degree at SangMyeong Univ. Graduate School of New Media Music.

Later on he built his career through music tasks composing songs for movies: ‘The Traffickers’(2012), ‘Very Ordinary Couple’(2013), ‘The Suspect’(2013) and games: ‘Granado Espada 2’, ‘Tree of Savior’ in Cinenote. Also he expanded his field of activity up to music for broadcast and advertisements through supplying library music to Modoocom, Inc.

He is now a freelance composer/arranger who worked on several promotion films for universities, corporations and organizations in cooperation with Cinematic Person. And he showed the presence as a producer and arranger of BeautyHandsome who recorded the second above K-indie Chart, and Dongneppangjip(Town Bakery) who recorded the seventh above K-indie Chart.
